As we dive deeper into the theme of this year’s All Nations Women Congress — “To this End Was I Born” (John 18:37), we are reminded of the importance of living out God’s full reason for our existence. The first day of the congress was filled with powerful insights that stirred the hearts of all who were present. The teachings from Reverend Olusola Areogun and Rev. Oyenike Areogun echoed eternal truths that challenge us to reflect on our divine purpose and the spiritual battles we must face to fulfil it.

Let’s recount some of the key insights from Day 1 and explore the biblical foundation of these truths.

The Enemy’s Hatred for Women

It was a profound revelation when Reverend Areogun shared:

📍 “The devil has a peculiar hatred for the female because out of the female came the seed of God that broke the head of the serpent.”

This truth takes us back to Genesis 3:15, where God declared war between the serpent and the seed of the woman:

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” (Genesis 3:15, KJV)

From the very beginning, Satan has harbored a deep hatred for women because it was through a woman that the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, came. This enmity continues today, manifesting in various attacks against women. But just as Christ has already triumphed over Satan, women of God are called to walk in that victory!

Destiny and Purpose

📍 Rev. Oyenike Areogun reminded us that the enemy often attacks our purpose by keeping us in a prison house:

📍 “The prison house is anywhere OUTSIDE God’s purpose for you.”

Psalm 142:7 declares,

“Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.” (Psalm 142:7, KJV)

One of Satan’s greatest tactics is to trap believers in places where they are ineffective and disconnected from God’s plan. Whether it’s through sin, fear, or distractions, the enemy seeks to imprison us. But God’s will is for us to be free — free to live out our calling in full, walking in the destiny He has planned for us.

📍 Furthermore, Reverend Areogun emphasized:

“Ministry position is not a reward for faithfulness; it is a calling and a divine choice. It is not a human arrangement!”

Paul echoes this in 1 Timothy 1:12,

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.” (1 Timothy 1:12, KJV)

Our roles in God’s Kingdom are not based on human merit, but divine election. God chooses whom He wills, and we must walk in obedience to His calling.

The Reality of Spiritual Warfare

A critical lesson from Day 1 was the reality of spiritual warfare. Reverend Areogun warned us:

📌 “The best way to have peace is to prepare for war. You make peace by WARFARE, not by DISCUSSION.”

This truth aligns with Ephesians 6:12, which reminds us that our battles are spiritual in nature:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12, KJV)

Peace in our lives and our homes doesn’t come passively. It requires active engagement in spiritual warfare through prayer, fasting, and standing on God’s promises. We must daily put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:11-18), understanding that there are battles that will not end, but they must not defeat us. We fight from a place of victory, knowing that the enemy is already defeated!

📌 “One of the signs of an unbroken curse is unending fights.”

Some battles persist because generational curses and unresolved spiritual matters need to be dealt with. But through Christ, we have the authority to break every chain (Isaiah 58:6) and walk in complete freedom.

Standing Firm in Faith

📍 Reverend Areogun reminded us that when we make the devil uncomfortable with our obedience and dedication to God, he will come after us:

“When your activities make the devil uncomfortable enough, he will come after you.”

Jesus Himself warned us in John 15:18-19:

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” (John 15:18-19, KJV)

Following God faithfully will attract opposition, but we are encouraged to stand firm, knowing that Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33).

Motherhood and Intercession

📍 Another profound insight came in the form of a call to mothers:

“As a mother, let God take possession of your emotions and use them for intercession.”

Mothers have a unique capacity to channel their emotions into powerful prayer. This echoes the example of Hannah, who fervently prayed for a son, pouring out her soul before the Lord (1 Samuel 1:15). Godly mothers are called to stand in the gap for their children, families, and nations, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct their emotions into intercession.

Jesus is the Only Answer

Finally, the day closed with a clear and powerful reminder:

📍 “You are not going anywhere safe after this world unless your definition of JESUS is correct. JESUS is the only answer for humanity.”

In John 14:6, Jesus said,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6, KJV)

The gospel is clear — without Jesus, there is no salvation. He is the way, the only way, to eternal life. The call to salvation is urgent and real.

Conclusion: Pressing Forward in Day 2

As we prepare for Day 2 of the All Nations Women Congress, let these truths stir your spirit. Whether it’s breaking free from the enemy’s traps, standing firm in spiritual warfare, or walking in your God-ordained purpose, know that victory is already yours through Christ. Stay connected to Him, the Ancient of Days, and continue to seek His will for your life.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11, KJV)
