In times like this, there are questions that will be in the heart of many Christians which I want to address. This is not a time to fear, I believe this is a time for us to get to know God the more like never before. God is calling us back into intimacy.
Question 1: Does God have a package for His own people? Does He have a plan for His people in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic?
Yes, God has a package for His people. You must have it settled in your heart that no matter what the enemy is doing, God is still on His throne.
2 Chronicles 16:9
9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
We should believe God to show Himself strong in the behalf of His people and He will surely come through.
Question 2: Can we stand on His Word if the outbreak gets worse or will that be a foolish risk? Can we expect that God will do again what He did in the past and duplicate Bible days for us?
Be rest assured that you can always stand on God’s word in times like this.
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the Lord; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
The Lord will set us in safety irrespective of what is puffing at the human race. The word of the Lord is proven and we can depend and trust in His word every time that He will do what He says.
Question 3: Is our God real or a myth? Is there really a God there?
Absolutely, God is there and is always there! Look at what Peter:
2 Peter 1:12- 21
12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
There are truths you must be established in as a believer, one of which is that God is real, Jesus is real, the Holy Ghost is real, divine shielding and divine hiding are real! Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)
In verse 19, Peter talks about a more sure word of prophecy which is the Bible. The Bible in your hand is the more sure word of prophecy, take heed to what the word of God is saying.
This coronavirus season is a dark place, but the word of God is our light. You must hold on to the light of God’s word. He is watching over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12)
Luke 1:45 also says, “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord”. There can’t be a performance if you don’t believe. This is time to doubt your doubt and believe your belief.
You must go to the word of God to find out what He has said about the times we are in. We have not experienced such a global phenomenon such as this and my prayer is that you will come into a level of greater trust in God after this season.
Remember, in times of crisis, the best of man can fail, but God never fails!
You are blessed!
